At Dixons, we know that reading is central to our students’ success and life chances. Students who read for pleasure consistently go onto achieve better outcomes in education, secure higher-paying jobs and report better mental health. For this reason, many of our academies carve out specific time during the day for students to read books not linked to one of their curriculum subjects, but simply to enjoy and engage with reading for its own sake.
