Assessment Part 3 – Reporting to parents

Grading and reporting to parents has been under some scrutiny and we have taken guidance from some excellent blogs by individuals such as Becky Allen. We understand choosing how to give attainment feedback to students and their families is a minefield, but we know that choosing not to give clear, interpretable feedback on how a student is doing is not a neutral position to take. Every teacher has to give some feedback on attainment and there is no risk-free or value-neutral approach to doing it.
